AntiVirus System Pro aka Sysguard2010 the Virus

Tue Dec 1, 2009, 4:20 PM
To anyone reading this, be on the lookout for the vicious and annoying computer virus/malware called AntiVirus System PRO aka Sysguard2010/Sysguard2009. Recently my computer was infected by this horrible beast of a virus. Removing it from the computer is a bit of a process, one that could end up being expensive if you go to a professional virus remover, so here i will tell you where to go if you get it, what happens if you get it, and how to kill it's running process long enough to find help on the internet.

AntiVirus System PRO symptoms:

AntiVirus System PRO will pop up on your computer as a Virus Scanner and it will look like it's scanning your files, but do not be fooled by this, the whole thing is FAKE. It will direct you to its purchase site, where it wants you to buy it, DO NOT BUY IT though, it's a scam to steal your credit card numbers.
Along with making its purchase site appear, it will also make obscene websites pop up in Internet Explorer. If this happens, just click the X in the corner of the Internet Explorer title bar. They will continue to pop up periodically until the running process is killed.
AntiVirus System PRO will also produce very very annoying fake security alerts on your computer, ignore them all, none of them are real.
Along with all these unpleasant pop ups, AntiVirus System PRO also disables Internet Explorer from being used to get to all websites except for the few that came with the AntiVirus System PRO virus. You also will not be able to use any virus removal software, notepad, or anything else that may aid in the removal of the virus unless you kill the running process.

To Kill the Running Process:

To temporarily disable AntiVirus System PRO, as soon as you reboot (restart) your computer (or as soon as you log into your User side of the computer) press Alt Ctrl Delete altogether and when the Task Manager box comes up look for anything containing the letters sysguard.exe. There may be a few random letters in front of sysguard.exe (example: gbfjsysguard.exe), but it's still the same virus/program. In the Task Manager box, click on the sysguard.exe and then click on the End Process button. Now you should be able to at least use your programs, however, Internet Explorer will still be disabled. The virus is still present on your computer and will continue to be, so each time you restart the computer, you will have to follow this process until the virus is gone. Now you must find yourself a computer virus/malware expert.

Where To Go For Help to Remove the Virus:

Both websites have highly skilled volunteers that will help you for free. If you can't get to the internet from your computer, try using someone elses or a laptop and have burnable DVDs or CDs on hand so you can transfer programs to your computer. Both websites will have people who will tell you the programs you need to download, but the most common ones are ComboFix (not to be downloaded or run unless told to do so by the skilled volunteer), HijackThis, Malwarebytes, D.D.S, OTL, RootRepeal, and OTM. They will provide you with links to the downloads they want you to use.

Where Does the Virus Come From:
It's rumoured to come from the Russian Federation and you can get it through a variety of websites, emails, etc. I was on a search for free pretty Holiday screensavers and came across an infected website. You can also get this virus and a host of others from "naughty" sites or pornographic websites. But don't go thinking your husband/boyfriend/kids/wife/girlfriend/friends has/have been going to obscene places on your computer, you can also get this virus and others from seemingly innocent websites like free desktop wallpaper sites, screensaver sites, MP3 download sites, spam email, regular email coming from an infected computer, etc.

Now all i can say is, if you get this, I wish you good luck with removing it.

The Computer is the Devil

Wed Apr 1, 2009, 3:56 PM
My computer is apparently posessed by evil demon cookies. I recently deleted a whole bunch and discovered a good deal of DA messages that had been "hiding".
It's like a flash back of what happened with the old Dinosaur (a 99 Gateway all in one PC). For about a year, all the messages i had would disappear and reappear. I wrote to DA. Then i was embarrased when i discovered it was my computer the whole time. All because of cookies and (this is no exaggeration) 1008 viruses. As soon as those were cleared out and the cookies eaten (haha) it went back to normal.
This new beast (an 07 Gateway that runs on Vista) has no apparent viruses, but is acting lately like something is wrong with it. It messes up the html on Myspace and makes the whole site nothing but text with little x's for pictures. Deleting cookies didn't cure that problem unfortunately. But yeah, i'm rambling on and on about this...
If you send comments and messages, my hope is that i will get them. Eventually, i'm sure i will get all of them. And though it might be a little late, i will reply. :)

Hello anyone who may be reading this. To all those who have sent thanks for having art favourited, i send a big "You're Welcome" and to all those who have commented on my art and whatever the hell else i might have on here, i send a big "Thank You". I feel as though i may have been neglecting deviant art for a while. I've been a weird kind of sick lately and haven't been my usual chipper self, so i've been rather unsocial. I haven't spent much time online or deviant art. I'd get on to favourite a few items, check the Watch list and leave. So to anyone i didn't comment back to, i'm very sorry. I don't mean to be rude or anything.

Over the next few weeks i doubt i'll be on here much again, so until later, i wish you all good long days and pleasant nights and say "thank you" in advance for any comments.

Sense

Time stood still
For such a brief moment
A world had died
No one even knew

Below in dirt
Red flowed broadly
From what was done
Not a soul would know

So cold was thinking
Quiet tried to choke
A sign of grief out
Everyone could find

Silence was god
It tells no tales
Buried underneath life
A stench may teach

Lime became a friend
Worries were growing
Disturbed grounds
Spyings were possibilities

Depth is a saviour
It keeps sanity
Everything was complete
No one would ever see.
