well, i finally got around to colouring my little merman from Atlantis. i don't normally do water scenes...because water can be quite difficult to shade. he came out half-way decent. the background is entirely coloured pencil and the merman is pen and coloured pencil. i rotated the picture to face the left because it looked more interesting in my opinion. the darkness had to be altered in GIMP due to the fact my scanner makes everything bright as all hell. oh and i blurred the background a bit as well to give it a more watery feel.
